At Shopfront, we provide a safe space where everyone is welcome and supported to express themselves creatively!
Workshops are offered to Young People from ages 8 to 17.

Term 3
Weekly Workshops
Ensembles
● Junior Ensemble (Ages 11-14)
Take the next step and have a go at collaborating on a full production with fellow Young People and industry professionals.
Fee: $500 fro two terms
● Senior Ensemble (Ages 15-17)
Take a creative swing in our two-week intensive in the July School Holidays, creating a whole show from scratch to perform the following week.
Fee: $500 for two weeks + show week
● Yearly Ensemble (Ages 11 -17)
For those who’ve done Junior and Senior and excited to commit to making a show over a year!
Fee: $1000 for the year

$50 discount for Technical Theatre when enrolling in another Saturday workshop.
Trials receive 25% discount when signing up for the remainder of term.

Financial Support

First time participants can attend up to 3 free trial sessions in the first half of each term. We will follow up about enrollment once your trials have finished, and enrolement fees will come with a 25% discount.
Trials may only be available if the chosen workshop has not reached capacity.

Shopfront offers scholarships each term to cover partial or full fees for those who could use it. If you would like to apply for a scholarship or you want to know more, please get in touch.

We are more than happy to set up a payment plan for you. Let us know how many installments you’d like to pay in and a schedule that works for you, and we will follow up with invoices when appropriate.

At present, Shopfront services may be claimed for self-managed and plan managed NDIS funds.

We will do our best to help, however specific questions about NDIS are best directed to your case manager or NDIS directly on 1800 800 110.

To use a Creative Kids voucher, please email our Workshops Coordinator with your voucher number, and an invoice will be sent to you to cover any remaining fees.

No previous experience necessary!

We recommend that all participants bring a bottle of water with them. If you are attending several workshops on the same day, we would recommend you bring a snack. Shopfront have a kitchenette facility that participants are welcome to use to fill up their water bottles, store food and warm your snacks.

We have no specific dress code at Shopfront Arts Co-op, however we would recommend wearing loose, comfortable clothing for your workshops and flat shoes (no heels please).

Participants are welcome to take time out of their designated workshop if they need to. A member of Shopfront staffing will check on you and support you.

In line with our Child Safety Policy, Parents and Guardians are not permitted to sit in on workshops.

Parents and Guardians may stay in the foyer during the first and last 10 minutes of their child's workshop. Between those times and while workshops are happening, we ask that you vacate the building to leave the space open for participants.
You’re welcome to wait in your vehicle, or we recommend one of the lovely cafes just a two minute walk away next to Carlton station.
